Yearly Charity Event

At Heating Scotland we carry out or assist in a challenge for charity every year.

So far we have been involved in The 3 Peaks, two Coast to Coast cycle rides across England and last year a Coast to Coast cycle across Scotland.

To date we have helped raise over £4,000 for various charities.

All costs incurred with each challenge are paid by us and NOT the money raised. Every penny raised goes to the charity chosen.

This year the challenge is a tough one. A group of us are going to hike top the top of Kilimanjaro in Africa. It is the largest free standing mountain in the world at almost 5,895 metres above sea level.

Kilimanjaro is approx 2,950metres lower than Mount Everest and is over four times the height of Ben Nevis.

Virtually every type of ecological system can be found on this mountain, including cultivated land, rain forest, heath, moorland, alpine desert, and an arctic summit. The temperature at the top ranges from -7C to -29C during the year.

This year (2018) we are climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, raising money for Marie Curie, who do amazing work for people in real need.
